Well thanks to a power surge in Leeds the Internet connection died yesterday (no pun intended). So, I was unable to keep up.
Today bore witness to a possibly alarming story; Mexican flu. It has reportedly killed 60 people, and could turn into a ‘pandemic’. This isn’t exactly good news. However, hopefully it will be bird flu and SARS all over again; bad, but not as bad as reportedly predicted at the time.
Another tragic news story was told to me on Radio 5Live, with reports that brother of footballer Jermain Defoe had been killed in London. Unfortunately this is yet another terrible incident to come out of London. Street crime is alarmingly on the rise it seems.
The news of this incident was followed by reports of a body being found in Cornwall after a car had been swept away in a stream. The pictures of the car, found on the BBC News website, looked awful.
